Aaron Judge Breaks McGwire's Rookie HR Record

Aaron Judge broke Mark McGwire's rookie record for home runs in a season when he hit his 50th with two outs in the bottom of seventh inning of Monday's (September 25th)  makeup game against the Kansas City Royals.

Judge tied McGwire when he homered with one out in the third inning into the right-center field bleachers off Kansas City starter Jakob Junis. After striking out in the fifth, Judge broke the mark in his second chance at a 50th homer against Trevor Cahill. The 25-year-old Judge drove Cahill's 2-1 breaking ball into the left field seats and became the fifth Yankee with at least 50 homers in a season. After rounding the bases the right fielder earned a curtain call from fans at Yankee Stadium.
