2019 Red Sox Preview

The Defending World Series Champion Boston Red Sox open their season tomorrow and despite their bullpen being a big question mark they still have a very good chance to defend their title in 2019.

Last October David Price proved that he can pitch well in the postseason getting the win in both the clinching game of the ALCS and World Series. The Sox rotation should be really good in 2019 with Price, Sale, Porcello and resigning Nathan Eovaldi.

In the 2018 the Red Sox lead all of baseball in runs scored a big reason for that was because of MVP Mookie Betts and JD Martinez who hit 43 Homes Runs and lead all of baseball with 130 RBIs last year. They also have a really good young core with Bogaerts, Benintendi and Devers and they resigned World Series MVP Steve Pearce as well .

The Major concern going into the 2019 season for the Red Sox is their bullpen. They did not resign Craig Kimbrel this offseason who remains unsigned right now and they lost Joe Kelly who signed with the Dodgers. It is going to be up to Ryan Brasier and former Uconn Husky Matt Barns to fill those roles.

With Red Sox having one of the best rotations and line ups going into the 2019 season they have a really good chance to defend their title this year .
