The Friars are feeling right at home in the Dunkin Donuts Center as they jump out to a 1-0 lead after a well played 1st period. Providence’s Greg Printz dropped his big body in front, a power move that helped him notch double digit goals on the year. After the Friars were able to get the puck to the net, Printz banged home the loose puck or as they say, cleaned up the garbage.
Providence is controlling the pace of the game and playing stout defense which is limiting the number of chances for Big Red.
With a chance to go to the Frozen Four on the line, the Friars outshoot Big Red 8-6 in the first and lead 1-0.
