Yanks Sweep O's then get Swept in Houston

The Yanks started the road trip well sweeping the Orioles but then ended the road trip on a rough note getting swept by the Astros.

On this road trip the Yanks offense woke up DJ LeMahieu has continued to stay hot having an average of .410 to start the season. Gary Sanchez, Gleyber Torres and Clint Frazier had very good road trips Gary Sanchez had 3 HR's and 6 RBI's in Sunday's 15 to 3 win over the O's. Gleyber Torres hit .407 during the road trip with 3 HRs 5 RBI's and Clint Frazer hit .360 during the road trip with 3 HRs and 10 RBIs .

Outside of Tanaka who has gotten off to a great start to this season and German who pitched well on Sunday the Yanks rotation has really got off to a tough start. James Paxton had a very tough road trip going 5.1 innings but allowing 4 earned runs on Thursday against O's and really struggled last night against Houston only going 4 innings allowing 5 earned runs . J.A. Happ had also struggled to start the season he had another tough start Saturday night against the O's not even making it out of the 5th inning.

The biggest surprise of the 2019 Yankees season is the bullpen. Chad Green and Zack Britton have really struggled. Green is 0-2 and is pitching to an ERA of 9.00, Britton had an awful series in Houston on Monday he pitched less then an inning and allowed 2 earned runs and last night he gave up 1 run after pitching 1 inning.

The Yankees come back to the Bronx to start a ten game home stand, 3 with the White Sox, 2 with the Red Sox and 4 with the Royals.
