Despite dealing with a power outage and two rain outs the Yanks were able take 2 out of 3 in Tampa and sweep the O's in a rain shortened 2 game series this week but they also suffered another setback losing Miguel Andujar for the season.
Yesterday the Yankees announced that Andujar will have season ending surgery to repair a small labrum in his right shoulder. Lucky Gio Urshela has really stepped up this year in 33 games he's hit .330 for the Yanks so far.
Domingo German has continued to be great for the Yankees this season he's now 8-1 with an era of 2.50 and was 2-0 this week. Tanaka also pitched really well this week going 7 innings on Sunday and only allowing one run .
The bullpen has continued to be really good the combination of Ottavino, Kahnle and Chapman has still only allowed one earned run since April 23rd and Britton since May 3rd has not allowed a run.
The Yanks finish their home stand this weekend with another 3 game series with the Rays and then head down to Baltimore for 4 games with the Orioles.
