Yanks take 2 out of 3 from Royals and Padres

The Yanks took 2 of 3 from the Royals and Padres this week and have a 1 game lead over the Rays in the AL East, this weekend they welcome the Sox in for a big 4 game series .

Despite having Judge, Stanton and DIDI out the Yanks offense has still preformed really well they are currently 5th in all of baseball in runs scored. In the six games against the Padres and Royals they averaged 6 runs per game.

It was a rough week for the top half of the rotation German and Tanaka were not good in their starts. On Sunday German went 5 innings and allowed 7 runs and on Tuesday night Tanaka went 6 innings and allowed 4 earned runs.

The bullpen has continued to preform really well since May 10th the combination of Ottavino, Britton and Chapman have not allowed an earned run.

The Yankees welcome the Red Sox into the Bronx this weekend for a 4 game series and then they head up to Toronto for a 3 game series with the Jays.
