My Traveler's Week 2019

18's umbrella

The 2019 Traveler's Championship is one of my favorite weeks in CT. Along with all of the PGA superstars, there are so many people from our community I love seeing out at the TPC River Highlands. The week will have world-class golf, a fun time for all who come out, and a boat load of money raised for local charities.

Day 1 Chillin

Not much going on this Monday. We on the Dibble Show interviewed the Superintendent, the parking folks, the tourney director, and others about the crazy scramble to get all the last minute prep done. While they did that, I sat back and watched these boys putt all day.

Food highlight of the day / and Travler's Swag of the Day = Bubba Watson's candy belts were given out to the media.

Best moment = Having tourney director Nathan Grube tell me not to make any kids cry during this year's putt-putt.

Rainy Tuesday

A very soggy Tuesday. The course takes water well. The rain on Tuesday should not effect Thursday thru Sunday. It is demo day, so the pros are testing some new clubs. Plus, there was a 1st Tee of CT event. Kids got paired up with pros and had a fun 4-hole tournament. The kids had to write in "why they are deserving to play with a pro."

Gribble!!!

RD Show favorite Cody Gribble gets on the range despite the rain.

Wednesday is mini-golf day!!! Along with David Fisch and Adam Rivers, the Iheart Golf Boys are back-to-back champs!!!!

Thursday Day is Tourney Day 1 !!!

It is serious now

I was following the leaders Saturday and Sunday.

What a weekend of great shots. Chez Reavie was solid and won the big bucks in the end. He did it against Keegan Bradley who had thousands cheering him on. Bradley was the only New England representative in the field.

It was a great week!!!
