Starting Line Up Grade A

Despite all the injuries the Yankees are 3rd in all of baseball in runs scored. A big reason for this is the play of DJ Lemahieu and Garry Sanchez. Lemahieu is hitting .336 with 12 HRs and 63 RBIs, Sanchez in 68 games is hitting .245 with 24 Hrs and 57 RBIs. Luke Voit and Gleyber Torres have also had really good years for the Yanks Voit has 17 Hrs and 50 RBIs and is hitting .280, Torres is hitting .292 with 19 HRs and 50 RBIs. The biggest surprise this year at the plate for the Yanks is Gio Urshela hitting .304 with 7 HRs and 39 RBIs .

Starting Pitching Grade B +

The biggest weakness on this Yankees team is starting pitching and they should address this at the trade deadline. Domingo German has been the best pitcher for the Yankees in the first half of the season he has a recored of 10-2 with an ERA of 3.67. James Paxton who the Yankees acquired in a trade in November and Tanaka have been inconsistent for the Yankees this year. Paxton's recored is 5-4 with an ERA of 4.01, Tanaka is 5-5 with an ERA of 3.86. The biggest disappointment for the Yankees rotation is J.A Happ he does have a recored of 7-4 but he has an ERA of 5.02.

Bullpen Grade A -

The Bullpen has been very good for the Yankees this year. Chapman, Ottavino and Britton have all been solid. The biggest disappointments have been Chad Green who has pitched well of late and Jonathan Holder. Green has an ERA of 5.68 and Holder had an ERA of 6.81.
