Yanks end July in a slump

The Yankees ended the month of July dropping 3 of 4 to the Red Sox and splitting with the Diamondbacks they also failed to acquire a starting pitcher at the trade deadline.

A big reason for the Yankees struggles has been the starting pitching in their last ten games a starter has gone more then 5 inning twice that was German on Sunday night and Happ on Monday night. To make matters worse the Yankees were not able to upgrade their rotation at the trade deadline and the Astros were acquiring Zack Greinke form the Diamondbacks.

The Yankees have also hit the injury bug again Luke Voit, Garry Sanchez, Brett Gardner and DJ Lemahieu are all currently on the IL and Stanton still remains on the IL.

The Yanks continue their home stand this weekend with a 4 games series with the Red Sox then travel down to Baltimore for a 3 game series with the O's.
