Yanks ready to take on the on the Astros in the ALCS

For the 2nd time in 3 years the Yankees are in the ALCS and their opponent will be the Houston Astros. The Yankees got here by sweeping the Twins in the ALDS.

Gleyber Torres and Didi Gregorius carried the Yanks on offense during the division series. Torres hit .417 in the ALCS with 1 HR and 4 RBIs, DIDI Hit .400 in the series with 1 HR and 6 RBI's he also had the biggest hit in the series hitting a grand slam in game 2. The offense also got contributions from DJ Lemahieu, Aaron Judge and Brett Gardner, Lemahieu had a great game 1 with a homer and a 3 run double, Judge didn't have any HR's or RBI's but he did hit .333 in the series and Gardner had a homer in game one and an RBI single in game 3.

The Yankees got good starts from Severino and Tanaka in this series. Tanaka went 5 inning and allowed one run in game 1, Severino went 4 innings and gave up no runs in game 3 and got out of a bases loaded jam in the 2nd. James Paxton is going to have to improve on his game one performance in the division series for the Yankees to advance to the World Series Paxton went 4.2 innings and allowed 3 runs.

This bullpen continued to be great during the ALDS the combination of Chapman, Britton and Ottavino only gave up 1 earned run in the 3 games.

ALCS Prediction: I got to go with the Astros in 7 better rotation and them having home field advantage in this series makes the difference.
