Bruins Fall to Capitals

Having lost three straight games, the Bruins needed a win against an opponent they’ve only beaten once in their last 16 games, with that win coming last year. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen as the Bruins dropped yet another game to Washington and lost their 4th consecutive contest. It is the first time since March that the B’s have lost three straight games in regulation.

They did have a lead in this game as David Pastrnak scored halfway through the first period to break the deadlock.

In the second period, TJ Oshie would make his presence felt as he would score two straight goals to give the Capitals the lead, and on his second goal, he displayed some great puck handling skills as he went through two defenseman and beat Halak. As the game went to the third period, the Bruins were able to get a few chances and off a faceoff Torey Krug fired a shot from the blue line that Sean Kuraly deflected past Brayden Holtby to tie the game.

The Bruins would lose the momentum pretty quick as they gave up a goal to NHL defensive point leader John Carlson that would end up being the winning goal. It will be a quick turnaround for the Bruins as they head down to Tampa Bay to take on the Lightning Thursday night at 7pm.
