The New England Confectionery Company (NECCO) went bankrupt in 2018. The Revere, Massachusetts-based company was soon after acquired by Spangler Candy, but not in time for Valentine's Day. Last year, the company didn't produce the heart-shaped candies because of the change in ownership, disappointing thousands of people who were fans of the little candies with short sayings like, "Call Me", "Love You" and more. The candies have been in existence for 118-years!
They're back for 2020, however, in a limited supply! If you're a fan, stock up ahead of time at nationwide drugstores.
