Bruins Stay Hot with OT Win

Having won the first two games since returning from the All-Star break and bye week, the Boston Bruins went into Chicago a night after Tuukka Rask shutout the Minnesota Wild on the road and took down the Blackhawks in overtime. Chicago got on the board first in this game but the lead would not hold up. In the second period, Sean Kuraly scored to tie the game, marking his second game in a row with a point after he was scratched in the first game back from the break. Whatever message the coaching staff was trying to send, apparently was received. The game would remain tied after the third period where the Bruins ended the period on the penalty kill which carried into overtime. After killing off the penalty, the B’s rushed up ice and Jake DeBrusk found Charlie McAvoy for his first of the year and third career overtime winner.

The Bruins will have a few days off before they return home to Boston to host the Arizona Coyotes at 3pm.
