He chats about Heroes and Hounds, a volunteer-based effort he founded, which sends specialized care packages to military members and their K-9 partners!

Last year, ACO Rudewicz and the Department collected over 50 care packages that were sent to military K9 handlers and their partners in Iraq and Afghanistan. The packages included such items as hygiene products, food, dog toys, bedding and safety items. The donations came from Police Department and Town employees, residents, local businesses and more.
