Meet Bandit, whose name sure matches the mask he wears on his face! He is a Carolina dog mix, around 18 months of age and weighs about 45 pounds. Bandit has distinctive markings. His tall pointed ears and mask are a light brown (well, except for that one patch on his tail). The rest of his short thick coat is white. He has alert amber eyes and a fox-like snout that adds to his handsomeness. He was brought to a high kill shelter but his owner never reclaimed him. Luckily, the southern rescue group noticed his sweet nature and friendliness and saved his life. Bandit is very social but his exuberance and high energy may be overwhelming for young children. He is very happy when playing and running in the yard with his canine friends. He hasn’t been introduced to cats. Bandit has been working on crate and house training. He is making progress but will need to continue the training with someone who can provide the right guidance using patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement. He is an intelligent dog, who just needs to be given the time to master these skills. Going for long hourly walks is something he loves. He is working on leash training and walks best on a harness. When not on long walks he will benefit from free time in a fenced in backyard, especially if he has a canine friend to run and play with. Bandit deserves to be in a home where he will receive lots of love, attention, and activity that will keep him entertained. Are you the family that can do that? If yes, read on! The cost of Bandit’s adoption fee is $450. That includes the cost of neutering, up to date vaccinations, rescue, kennel, and transport costs. You can go to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours.
