Today the Mets signed Wilson Ramos to a 2 year 19 million dollar contract. Ramos is 31 and has a career average of .273 with 109 career Home Runs and 426 career RBIs. In 2018 with the Rays and the Phillies in 111 games he hit for an average of .306 with 15 Home Runs and 70 RBIs. This is another move this offseason to improve the Mets line up and it is a major upgrade at catcher where they did not get much production from either Kevin Plawecki or Devin Mesocrco. New General Manager Brodie Van Wagenen has done a really good job this offseason trying to improve the Mets and signing Ramos shows that the Mets want to be contenders in 2019.
